Robin’s Story

Robin, a native of Edmonton, has dedicated the past twenty-five years to working with individuals both in Canada and overseas, helping them develop their speaking skills. He developed a deep appreciation of the importance of effective speech because of his own struggles communicating with others. For much of his early life, speaking in most social settings gave him regular anxiety, which not only hindered his ability to engage with others but also caused him to avoid social events.

In his mid-20s, as he gained confidence in navigating various social scenarios, he developed a keen interest in assisting others in becoming skilled speakers. He volunteered to help a variety of groups improve their speaking abilities. These included first-year university and high school students, training them in making effective presentations, and newcomers to Canada, training them in effective conversational communication. Robin has also conducted workshops on various topics such as cultivating an effective speaking voice, providing constructive feedback to public speakers, mastering small talk, and acting as an Emcee for weddings.

Furthermore, Robin delivered seminars and taught public speaking courses during his tenure as a Professor of English as a Foreign Language at a National University in South Korea, and as an English Language Trainer for the Samsung Corporation. This experience allowed him to share his expertise with a wide range of audiences.

Robin’s educational background includes degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and teaching English as a second language. These qualifications have equipped him with the essential skills necessary to assist speakers from different backgrounds in communicating more effectively.

Through his extensive journey in the field of speech training, Robin remains dedicated to helping individuals unlock their potential, gain confidence, and achieve success in their personal and professional communication. With his expertise and passion for effective speaking, he continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those he works with.
